Market launches discount loyalty app LoyalFree

On Wednesday 11th October, Loughborough’s Farmers Market became the first ever UK market to launch a digital discount and loyalty card scheme. The scheme was be launched at the specialty market which showcases a range of local organic food and drink on the second Wednesday of every month in Loughborough Market Place.

Following this pilot, Love Loughborough aims to then launch the concept at the wider retail market which is held in the town on Thursdays and Saturdays. This award-winning market has been part of the town’s history for almost 800 years and sells an eclectic range of products.

Bringing a digital loyalty solution to the market traders is a Love Loughborough BID initiative which has come out of their newly established strategic partnership with LoyalFree, a phone app which now hosts all of the Love Loughborough business deals, previously available via the Love Loughborough Card Scheme.

Lisa Brown, BID Manager, said “Market traders are an integral part of our BID initiatives and working with LoyalFree has allowed us to expand our Love Loughborough deals to the entire community, which crucially includes the market traders. The App gives customers quick and easy access to current offers and discounts without having to look at the website before shopping ”
