Award-winning loyalty app rolls out UK-wide feature to boost town’s online profile

Digital loyalty scheme LoyalFree has launched a new feature called “Tours & Trails” to boost footfall in towns nationwide

An innovative digital loyalty scheme is set to launch an exciting new initiative designed to promote everything an area has to offer.

LoyalFree, a mobile app which helps businesses attract new customers by showcasing offers, events and tourist information, has launched a brand new ‘Tours & Trails’ feature.

This morning the LoyalFree team took the streets with Love Loughborough to launch the town’s ‘Dog Friendly’ trail amongst others. Pooches came along to visit some of the town’s favourite dog friendly spots which can be viewed in the new trails section of the app.

This exciting new feature acts as a platform on the hugely popular loyalty app by grouping together businesses to make life easier for the user. For example, a trail could see a group of businesses combined into one easy-to-access place which customers can use to complete their Mother’s Day shopping.

The initiative, which promises to help those with dietary requirements dine out safely alongside a host of other benefits, is set to be rolled out nationwide following an initial launch in Loughborough.

Not only are gluten free and vegan trails already live, but at the launch in Loughborough the app will also have a number of exciting trails such as cocktails, heritage trails, the best dog friendly spots and more.

Loughborough has already played host to a number of successful paper-based trials, such as the Elf on the Shelf trail over December, and in the future these will be available directly on your phone, another boost for the town’s growing profile.

Lisa Brown, Love Loughborough BID manager, said:

The launch of this innovative app feature brings a whole new dimension to how our locals and visitors can enjoy our town.

It gives us a platform to help people enjoy the experience of the area and understand everything which we have on offer.

Future features will include in-app voting, freebie giveaways and options to complete classic paper trails through the app and on your mobile phone. The feature will sit in the main menu of the LoyalFree app alongside the offers, events and the recently-introduced local guide, which was launched last year to help users find attractions in the local area.

LoyalFree co-founder Sophie Hainsworth, who has coeliac disease, is pleased with the feature’s ability to help people with food allergies.

It’s really exciting to release a Gluten Free trail for Loughborough to allow other sufferers in the town a list of safe places where they can dine out,

Often having dietary requirements can discourage people from eating out in town but we want to showcase the amazing businesses in the towns who can cater for this.

The launch comes hot on the heels of some exciting news for LoyalFree, which recently scooped the Digital Innovation award at the prestigious FSB awards in the East Midlands, representing a huge period of growth for the self-funded company.
