What does the LoyalFree app do?
The LoyalFree app was designed to increase footfall and sales and is currently available in 65+ UK towns and cities. The app allows users to save money when they shop locally and discover exclusive deals, exciting local events and interactive trails, all from their smartphone!
From royal window displays to corgi hunts, people were invited to download the LoyalFree app and join in the celebrations in Hereford, Loughborough, Welwyn Garden City and Brighouse during the Jubilee weekend.
What is a trail on the LoyalFree app?
The LoyalFree app tours & trails feature works by grouping together businesses to make life easier for the app user. For example, a trail could see a group of businesses combined into one easy-to-access place which customers can use to complete their Mother’s Day shopping or discover a Gluten-Free trail that promises to help those with dietary requirements dine out safely.
A Royal Weekend of Fun with LoyalFree
As the world watched, her Majesty The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. The Jubilee marked her seventy years of service and the United Kingdom was blessed with an extended bank holiday. This, alongside the school half-term, provided the perfect opportunity for towns and cities to come together and celebrate this momentous historical event on the high street.
Brighouse BID – The Jubilee Flag Trail
Brighouse waved the Jubilee celebrations in style providing a fantastic family-friendly trail in the town. All participants needed to do was scan the patriotic posters displayed in participating business windows using the LoyalFree app to be entered into the prize draw for a chance to win the choice of a classic English weekend/couples break or a £500 voucher to put towards the holiday of their choice courtesy of Hays Travel, Brighouse.
Love Loughborough – The Jubilee Window Dressing Trail
Many businesses within the Love Loughborough BID area dressed their shop windows with a jubilee theme to bring a royal cheer to the town. App users could vote for their favourite display through the LoyalFree app and the winning business was then awarded a certificate by Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Mayor of Charnwood!
Welwyn Garden City BID – Jubilee Trail
Both visitors and residents of WGC were invited to find Wonderful Wilf the Corgi and use the LoyalFree app to scan all 12 locations to collect a prize!
Hereford BID – The Crown Around Town Trail
Participants were invited to discover hidden crowns among the shop windows in their local high street. App users could then scan the QR code in the hidden locations to confirm their discovery. Once they had found all 10 crowns they were entered into a prize draw to win a Hereford Gift Card!
LoyalFree offers a fun and interactive alternative to paper based trails.
