Multi award winning high street app LoyalFree has launched a series of Eat Out to Help Out ‘trails’ on the free app, showcasing which local establishments are participating in the governments Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The government initiative, designed to encourage people to support the high street, is running throughout August and will provide a 50% discount to customers Monday through Wednesday.

LoyalFree is a multi-award winning innovative mobile phone app which helps connect people to special offers across the UK. Currently used in 25 towns and cities, the app combines this with local digital loyalty schemes, tourism information, tours & trails, event listings and flash competitions. Users benefit by using one app across the UK – so they can tap into the local area wherever they are.

Utilising technology to support businesses in this recovery period from Covid-19, app users can now access trails which inform them which businesses are taking part in the government scheme, as well as the usual exclusive event offers and local information. The app is completely free to download, free of advertisements and endorsed by over 20 Business Improvement Districts.

The government’s website shows results for 2 miles around a postcode however the LoyalFree app showcases all participating establishments in your town or city, no matter how far away you are. They can be viewed in a list or map view and also give users extra information about the businesses including social media links, photos and other offers. As of last week over 32,000 businesses have signed up to the scheme and the government postcode checker lists these.

The series of Eat Out to Help Out trails are now ready in 8 towns and cities across England already, with more to follow. Locations include Loughborough, Bristol, Rochdale and more.

Sophie Hainsworth, Co-Founder of LoyalFree, said ‘‘Whilst the high street is recovering, it is crucial for us to adapt our technology to allow the public to support local businesses whilst staying safe at the same time. We are delighted to be able to support the government initiative with our platform in a way which gives the user the option to find participating businesses across their local areas with the touch of a button.’’

LoyalFree has continually adapted their offering during this difficult time by launching ‘open for business’ and ‘home delivery’ trails during lockdown as well as the new LoyalFree Marketplace so that you can support your favourite independents by buying directly from an online platform where the businesses do not pay commission.
