The LoyalFree app ‘Give As You Save’ initiative has led to donations of over £1,500 to worthy causes so far, and most recently has donated £189 to mental health charity Dorking Minds. The award winning high street app, which promotes local businesses and interactive trails, donates 1p to charity every time a loyalty stamp is collected around any of the 24 towns and cities currently using the app. The charity initiative was set up in November 2019 and has previously supported other local causes including homelessness in Leicestershire.

Over the last 3 months donations have been collected for Dorking Minds, a wonderful charity that aims to help people in the Dorking area take control of their community’s mental health by providing subsidised courses and support including a new suicide prevention training. The LoyalFree app first launched in Dorking back in 2018 and has amassed over 3,000 app users in the town so far – over 10% of the town’s population!

Sally Elias, founder of Dorking Minds said: ‘We are delighted with this donation from LoyalFree. The services we provide are essential to many people within the community and this donation will help us support even more people in need.’’

LoyalFree have been delighted to be able to support Dorking Minds and we look forward to supporting more charities in the future. CEO and Co -Founder of LoyalFree, Sophie Hainsworth added ‘‘We are thrilled to be able to give back to the local communities that we work with, especially during this challenging time presented by Covid-19. This is a cause very close to me and I’m delighted to be able to use our technology platform in such positive ways.’’

App users and businesses across the UK are delighted to know that by using the app to collect digital loyalty stamps, they are also helping worthy causes. Users can feel good knowing they are not only saving money themselves but also helping their communities too. Businesses running loyalty schemes through the LoyalFree app are encouraged to promote these further with an extra incentive for customers to swap from paper loyalty cards to a digital version.

From the 1st October 2020 to the 31st March 2021 LoyalFree’s charity initiative will be supporting the NSPCC, the UK’s leading children’s charity. App users don’t need to do anything differently – they can keep using the app as normal!
