High street hero Sophie Hainsworth bags a double award win

Sophie Hainsworth, 31 year old CEO & Co-Founder of the LoyalFree app was announced the winner of 2 categories at this year’s Leicestershire Live Women in Business Awards.

Sophie, who was joined on the night by 2 of the 5 strong team, won the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and ‘Innovation in Business’ titles. The awards were presented at a full evening event hosted by Emma Jesson at the King Power stadium, and sponsored by Growth Partners PLC. 

LoyalFree, founded in 2017, is a multi award winning innovative mobile phone app which promotes over 7,000 high street businesses through deals, loyalty schemes, competitions, event listings, tourism information and interactive tours and trails. The business also offers ecommerce solutions. Founded in Leicester by friends and business partners Sophie Hainsworth and Jason Nesbitt the business is now playing an integral part in the economic recovery from Covid-19 and has over 75,000 app users. 

LoyalFree works with 39 UK towns and cities and is rapidly expanding across the UK, with many international opportunities becoming apparent.  

Previous notable award wins for the duo include the Theo Paphitis SBS award, the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce awards, the FSB Digital Innovation Award and the Retail Systems Awards. 

Sophie commented, “These awards showcased a huge number of impressive and inspirational businesses and people in Leicestershire. It was truly an honour to be amongst all the finalists there and winning 2 awards was great recognition for the work we’ve put into our business. This exposure helps us continue to expand our platform out and help more high street businesses.” 

Alongside many local and national awards, Sophie was asked to join the Government’s High Streets Task Force and represented the UK at the World Towns Leadership Summit in Tokyo. In her home City, Sophie is a mentor for Leicester Startups helping other founders make their visions into a reality. Furthermore, Sophie is also an advocate of mental health awareness and gave a TEDx talk about her own struggles in 2019.
